Dr. Sandhya Pal
Dr. Sandhya Pal is a third generation dentist who has been practicing for over 20 years. She earned her B.S. in Biology with a double minor in Spanish and Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a D.D.S. from Howard University School of Dentistry with honors in Oral Diagnosis and Radiology.
Dr. Pal’s skills span all aspects of General Dentistry and is also certified in Implant surgery, Sedation Dentistry, and Therapeutic Botox. She feels that the best part of dentistry is caring for her patients as if they were her family. She also feels that dentistry is an art, as well as a science, and brings a good eye and steady hand to build lasting smiles.
Dr. Pal’s greatest accomplishments as a small business owner was putting together a fabulous team that shares her same passion about patient centered care with a kind and friendly approach.
Dr. Pal is a member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
While not practicing dentistry, Dr. Pal enjoys her family time with her husband, Dr. Devin Jopp, three children, a dog and two cats.
Dr. Alejandra Pernia
Dr. Alejandra Pernia is originally from Venezuela, where she started her dental studies, she then moved to Spain and graduated as a General Dentist in 2013. She did her residency in Advance Education in General Dentistry in South Florida in which she earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery.
Dr Alejandra is devoted to her patients, treating each with the utmost compassion and respect. Her kindness, commitment to personal care, and gentle approach to dentistry keep her patients smiling.
By staying up-to-date with the latest treatments and newest technology, she ensures her patients receive the best care.
Dr Alejandra speaks English, Spanish and French fluently and is an active member of the American Dental Association. Her main goals for treatment are healthy teeth and periodontal tissues, a functional oral structure and giving her patients a naturally youthful and healthy appearance.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Alejandra enjoys life with her husband and two boys. You will see them frequenting local parks and museums.

Jan
Practice Director
Jan is the Practice Director of Reston Station Dental and Pal Family Dentistry overseeing the operations of both our Reston locations. She is a Northern Virginia native and George Mason University graduate. Jan has been working in the dental field for over 30 years. Jan enjoys working with patients, is thorough in her management of insurance claims, scheduling appointments and is the backbone of all our day to day operations.
Naveen
Office Manager
With over 10 years of experience as a Dental Office Manager, Naveen makes it her mission to provide every patient with the customer service they deserve. Her determination and efforts to ensure every patient has an exceptional experience, exceeds expectation. From warmly welcoming new patients to the practice to courteously working with patients insurance to maximize their benefits, Naveen truly enjoys putting our patients first. On her free time, Naveen enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 daughters, working out and Latin ballroom dancing!
Ilis
Dental Assistant
Ilis was born and raised in Guatemala with over 15 years of experience. Ilis is very passionate about what she does and enjoys helping patients with their dental needs. Ilis is dedicated to ensuring patients are comfortable and having a great experience. She is highly experienced with CEREC technology and able to fabricate restorations in the office. She enjoys keeping up with with nwe advancements and changes in technology and loves to travel with her husband and two kids. She loves the outdoors and enjoys motorcycles and off-roading when she has the chance!
Tulika
Registered Dental Hygienist
Tulika started as a Dental Assistant with Pal Family Dentistry in 2017. She returned to school thereafter and earned her degree in Dental Hygiene from NVCC Medical Education Campus graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2020. She endeavors to make her patients feel comfortable and always at ease when it comes to their dental care. Her priority is to maintain the highest level of quality and attention to detail and takes immense pride in her patient’s smiles. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, painting and gardening.
Cera
Registered Dental Hygienist
Cera is new to the DMV area, coming all the way from Pensacola, Florida! Graduating from Pensacola state college, having close relationships with her classmates and instructors, and being detail-oriented drove her passion for dental and improving smiles. A really important goal of Cera’s is to make patients feel comfortable and have a positive experience. As a proud member of the ADHA, you can catch her attending dental hygiene events and continuing education courses. When not in the office Cera enjoys trying new foods, spoiling her two cats, and building anything from Lego to furniture.
Jessica
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jessica has been a licensed dental hygienist since 2005 when she graduated from Forsyth Dental Hygiene School in Boston, MA. After graduation, she moved to the Northern Virginia area and started her professional career with Dr. Pal for many, many years way back then!
Jessica has years of experience working with all ages and has a gentle and effective touch for everyone. She loves spending extra time with her patients to be sure they feel educated and fully understand all aspects of their oral health care needs and treatments. She is meticulous with her work, always holds herself to the highest standards of care and she truly appreciates working with patients who also place a high value on their own oral health.
Jessica and her husband have two children and they all love to travel.
